ASEAN (The Association of Southeast Asian Nations) was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the signing of the ASEAN Declaration (Bangkok Declaration) by the Founding Fathers of ASEAN, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Brunei Darussalam then joined on 7 January 1984, Viet Nam on 28 July 1995, Lao PDR and Myanmar on 23 July 1997, and Cambodia on 30 April 1999, making up what is today the ten Member States of ASEAN.

 

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretariat is the nerve centre of ASEAN, a regional inter-governmental organisation founded in 1967, to promote peace and stability, sustained economic growth, shared prosperity and social progress. It comprises the ten countries of Southeast Asia.

• Advance degree in Economics or Finance (Phd would be desirable).
• Salary: monthly salary starting from USD 4,000.

Deputy Secretary-General for Community and Corporate Affairs

• Advanced degree in either one of the following disciplines: International Relations, Public Administration, Public Policy, Management.
• Salary: fixed monthly salary of USD 8,500.

Executive Director The ASEAN Foundation

• Preferably have an advanced degree or professional qualifications in an appropriate discipline.
• Salary: monthly basic salary of USD 6,000.

Senior Officer Standards And Conformance

• University Degree in science, engineering or other appropriate specialist discipline. Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
• Salary: monthly salary starting from USD 2,900.

Technical Assistant Finance And Budget Division

• Bachelor degree in Accounting with at least three (3) years relevant work experience.
• Salary: monthly salary starting from IDR 3,500,000.

Technical Officer Customs

• Bachelor degree in economics, international trade, international business, or related fields from a reputable university.
• Salary: monthly salary starting from IDR 5,000,000.

Technical Officer Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance Division

• Preferably Master’s Degree in relevant field (i.e. disaster management, developmental studies, public administration or other related discipline);

Technical Officers External Relations Division 1

• Bachelor degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Public Administration, Laws, Social Science, Economics, Management or an appropriate related field or discipline with a minimum three (3) years relevant work experience in technical role.
• Salary: monthly salary starting from IDR 5,000,000.

Technical Officer External Relations Division 2

• Minimum bachelor degree in international relations, public policy, policy management, economic management or related fields from a reputable university;
• Salary: monthly salary starting from IDR 5,000,000.

Technical Officer Public Private Sector Engagement

• Postgraduate degree in Economics, Management or an appropriate related field or discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in technical role; or Bachelor degree in Economics, Management or an appropriate related field or discipline with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in technical role.
